Question by caligirl: What are some good tips for freshening up a closet?
I just finished painting my closet and the smell is very strong. I’ve lit some candles (and have been watching them, don’t worry), so what else can I do to get rid of the paint smell and then keep my closet smelling good?

You can buy ‘air sponges’ (at hardware/home stores) to absorb the smell, or leave a large bowl (wide) with some baking soda.

I have a lot of sweaters, which when folded fall over and give the closet a very messy feel. Also I have a lot of jewlery, and although I do have a “bag” for it, it is always scattered on my shelves when I look for something.
What are some good things to buy to make a closet more organized? I don’t want to spend too much money…(it would be great if you send me some links of the things too… )

A cheap way is to cut an apple in quarters and put it on a parer plate if it is carpeted.
Put them around on the floor and the shelf.
Or just open a box of baking soda and spread it on a paper plate for more surface area. Just like a fridge.
They always have that scented stuff to put in there but they just try to cover the odor.

I am looking for a closet system, because I love organization. I just got sliding doors to my closet, so I am now able to reach areas in there I could never reach before. I would like to maximize all of the space I have. Do you know of any good closet systems that would fit in a 55″ wide closet?

I have a closet thats about 10 ft by 2 ft, but I dont have closet doors. I dont want regular closet doors like the sliding doors, or the one that you pull open. I thought about curtains but Im not so sure. Any suggestions?
